One of the most important things you can do as a small business or sole trader is keep your overheads as low as possible. When I became self employed I decided to look at all my outgoings and mobile-costs jumped right off the page at me!

I did some research and very quickly settled on giffgaff – they were more than just a ‘pay as you go system. They could save me more than £250 a year!

One of the things I really like is that if the network goes down (like all networks there are occasional outages, but I’ve never been affected for more than an hour or so) – you can visit the giffgaff site and someone will be explaining why its gone down and how long it will take to fix. You often also get a text message to apologise and they have also made donations to charity (voted on by the community) to make up for any small inconvenience.
